DIRK: On September 10, 1984 at Calgary, Mr. Philip Dirk of Empress, died at the age of 51 years. Mr. Dirk leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Jean; one daughter Patti of Empress; four sons Len and Gerry both of Whitecourt; Rob of Medicine Hat and Blaine, his wife Maureen of Breton and their son Jesse: his parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Dirk of Redcliff; three sisters Rose Osgood (Bill} of Redcliff, Anne MaDowell (Garth) of Burstall and Marilyn Turner (Bob) of Calgary; his brother Tony Dirk (Rose) of Medicine Hat; two sisters-in-law Mary Marik (Joseph) of Medicine Hat and Ruth Schmaltz (Baltser) of Beiseker: two brothers-in-law Jack Goodrich (Agnes) of Calgary and George Goodrich (Vivien) of Lethbridge also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, afternoon, September 12, 1984 at 1:00 p.m. in McNeil United Church, Empress with Reverend Dr. Lawrence Anderson and Reverend Stewart Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Empress Cemetery. The family gratefully decline flowers and those wishing to remember Philip Dirk may do so with a donation to the McNeil United Church Memorial Fund or to the Alberta Heart Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to CAMPBELL FUNERAL HOME and COOK'S FUNERAL CHAPEL LIMITED. Telephone 527-6455 should you wish any additional information.
